Smart Energy Programs

SEP The Smart Energy Program (SEP) ) was developed over the past twenty years to help K-12 schools and colleges take advantage of a full range of inexpensive methods of reducing energy consumption. We have found that proper training, communication, and maintenance result in significant savings with little or no capital outlay.

In order to better facilitate your organization, our Smart Energy Programs are flexible. We can accommodate simple or complex needs because our SEPs are designed to help everyone.

Included in the Smart Energy Programs:

Training / Professional Development

SEPs offer Web-based video training for people of all backgrounds. Whether you’re a mechanical technician, business manager, teacher, or student, there is something for you. Supporting step-by-step procedures, templates, and forms are also included.

Board Policy / Guidelines

Our Guidelines is a dynamic document that allows you to tailor your program to your specific needs. You can start with simple goals as people catch your vision for energy conservation and then later become more advanced.

Utility Awareness Program

This program is a combination of ongoing utility bill tracking and timely, effective communication. We track your utility bills and help you monitor your results. We publish the Energy News Monthly to regularly communicate the program’s effectiveness and ways the readers can actively participate.

Energy Project Identification and Planning

Our experienced staff will review your facilities to identify potential energy conservation projects. We then help you develop a short and long term plan to implement the program. The program will identify the training modules needed to put the plan into action. You can modify this dynamic program as new needs arise.
